Kudos to Danielle Little (pictured at right) on the first paper from her thesis work. In this paper, she shows that cardiac fibroblasts are a primary source for the metabolism-derived signal, hyaluronan, which is primarily produced by the enzyme HAS2.

Cait Howard started her American Heart Association Predoctoral Fellowship today. During her fellowship, she will address how a metabolic signal (hyaluronan) impacts inflammation after a heart attack. Congrats, Cait! (she is pictured at right)
